About Fulawa

The story
For decades, Japan has fascinated people all around the world (including us!) In Europe alone there are weekly conventions dedicated to Japanese culture!
From 2019 until 2023, i worked for Europe’s biggest Japanese festival as a project coordinator between Japanese participants and the French organizer. I realized that Japanese artists were enthusiasts, and they wanted to expand and share their activities overseas. Perhaps, sometimes, they don’t know how to do it and whom to ask for help: because of language barrier, culture gap or, simply, lack of connections.
Fulawa has been thought as a bridge between Japan and the world. A bridge that can support your dream and assist you so you can feel at ease and enjoy your adventure. Fulawa aims to help promoting Japan’s beautiful culture in France and Europe.
Fulawa’s values
- The People first in each decision
- Respect & Truth
- Passion & Dreams
Part of these values are shown in Fulawa’s logo. It represents events as we envision them : ephemeral and beautiful, like a flower. Flowers are source of joy and something people want to take care of and share with their beloved ones. We also use flowers for memories and ceremonies: events must be memorable… The red dot at the center is your idea, the seed, at the heart of each flower-project. The leaf part can be seen as a link or a ribbon: it is the strong bond we make by working together and the strong connection we want to spark with our event’s visitors and/or public.

Hitomi (Christiane) LAFON-KAWAGUCHI
Creator of FULAWA (仏ラ和)
After getting a bachelor’s degree in Japanese studies Paris’ INALCO and a professional certification in Event Projects Managing at Paris’ EPH (also known as Paris School of Tourism & Communication), I started my carrier in the events field in 2018. I joined Japan Expo for four years and improved my abilities and skills in managing various projects at the same time.
I have since decided to start my own business in event coordination in order to carry on with my passion: helping Japanese artists to realize their dreams!
